Description
The AVCO chlorine service ball valves are the AVCO 1100 Series or 1900 Series 3-piece ball valve modified for chlorine service. All valves comply with Pamphlet 6 from the Chlorine Institute and are appropriate for Chlorine service classes I & IV. The valves are configured using a carbon steel body and ends with a ball, stem and retainers made from either Monel 400 or Hastelloy C. The ball is vented to provide pressure relief during operation. The stem is live loaded with blow out prevention and has online adjustment capability. Sealing occurs at the thrust washer inside the body to reduce the potential for leakage. B7 body bolts and 2H nuts provide added strength and safety. Additional options include a full Monel 400 or full Hastelloy C valve to provide further protection against internal corrosion. When configured as an 1100 Series valve, the full port ball provides minimal pressure drop. When control is required, the valve is configured as a 1900 Series valve with a v-ball selected to meet the required Cv. All chlorine valve configurations are available with threaded, butt weld, socket weld or flanged end connections. The same ISO 5211 mounting pad from the 1100 Series and 1900 Series will allow for easy automation of the valves. This valve will provide confidence and safety when working with the dangers of chlorine.
