Alloy Valves and Control, Inc. (AVCO) is a Southern California based manufacturer of ball valves and flow measurement instrumentation. AVCO has an immediate opening for a full-time Quality Inspector at our Santa Ana headquarters. The person selected will help set up procedures and will be a position to lead a new department as we grow. It is a combination of incoming/outgoing product inspection, quality documentation, and reporting to our customers. The position requires a high attention to detail and will give exposure to many areas within the company. The work is fast paced. The environment is friendly and supportive. We will provide all necessary product and process training.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Basic inspection of incoming products
  • Review final product prior to shipping
  • Ensure all production travelers are complete and accurate
  • Maintain internal records for material test reports and produce reports for customers
  • Complete QA test reports for customers
  • Communicate problems to engineering and other appropriate managers
  • Perform other duties as required to support customer service, production, and engineering
  • High school diploma
  • Two-year minimum quality assurance or inspection experience
  • Comfortable with geometric terms and concepts
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Experience with basic measuring devices such as gauges and calipers
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic MS Word and Excel
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following procedures and complying with legal regulations

Duties and responsibilities

The compensation plan for this position will include a base salary, commission, vacation/sick/holiday pay, 401(k) and health insurance.
