\nAVCO has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced outside sales professional in the Northeast US who
\nwill add to our sales growth and provide an exceptional experience for our customers. The position is
\nchallenging and rewarding, the environment is friendly and supportive. Industry experience is preferred, but not
\nrequired \u2013 AVCO will provide all necessary product training. The selected candidate will work from home and
\ntravel 25-50% of the time to visit customers within the sales territory. This is no cap on commission which
\nprovides unlimited upside potential for a successful salesperson.
\nDuties and responsibilities include the following:
\n– Building on existing customer relationships
\n– Using referrals, social media, Internet searches and cold calls to identify new prospects and turn them
\ninto customers
\n– Responding to customer questions and inquiries
\n– Resolving customer problems to their satisfaction
\n– Following up on quotes to close orders
\n– Communicating with inside sales staff regarding ongoing opportunities and projects
\n– Documenting sales activities and participating in scheduled meetings
\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
\n– 3 or more years of previous inside or outside sales experience
\n– Familiarity with sales strategies and tactics either through formal classes or on the job training
\n– Ability to remain proactive in generating sales leads and closing business
\n– Capable of handling difficult customer personalities and resolving conflicts
\n– Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Teams
\n– Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
\n– Strong verbal and written communication skills
\nThe compensation plan for this position will include a base salary, commission, vacation\/sick\/holiday pay, 401(k)
\nand health insurance.
