AVCO has an immediate opening for a full-time Quality Inspector at our Santa Ana headquarters. This position is a combination of inspecting incoming goods, testing of finished product, assisting our engineers with new product evaluation, and assisting customers. The position is challenging and rewarding, the environment is friendly and supportive. Our engineering and QA staff will provide all necessary product and process training.

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

– Check parts against engineering drawings utilizing various inspection tools.

– Perform functional tests on in-process and returned materials.

– Responsible for the first article inspection of new products and new vendors.

– Build and disassemble parts as required for inspection and function tests.

– Communicate problems to engineering and other appropriate managers.

– Document inspection results by completing reports and logs.

– Communicate with customers to resolve technical issues and provide product training.

– Keep measurement equipment calibrated and operating properly.

– Perform other duties as required to support engineering and warehouse operations.

– Bachelor’s degree – engineering preferred.

– One year minimum quality inspector experience. Comfortable with geometric terms and concepts.

– Able to read engineering drawings.

– Experience with measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, and other measuring instruments.

– Highly organized and detail oriented.

– Good verbal and written communication skills.

– Basic MS Word and Excel.

– Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following procedures and complying with legal regulations.

The compensation plan for this position will include a base salary, vacation/sick/holiday pay, 401(k) and health insurance.

pharmaceutical plants, food/beverage plants, power stations, electric automotive facilities, rocket engines and

AVCO has an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced outside sales professional in the Northeast US who
will add to our sales growth and provide an exceptional experience for our customers. The position is
challenging and rewarding, the environment is friendly and supportive. Industry experience is preferred, but not
required – AVCO will provide all necessary product training. The selected candidate will work from home and
travel 25-50% of the time to visit customers within the sales territory. This is no cap on commission which
provides unlimited upside potential for a successful salesperson.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
– Building on existing customer relationships
– Using referrals, social media, Internet searches and cold calls to identify new prospects and turn them
into customers
– Responding to customer questions and inquiries
– Resolving customer problems to their satisfaction
– Following up on quotes to close orders
– Communicating with inside sales staff regarding ongoing opportunities and projects
– Documenting sales activities and participating in scheduled meetings
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
– 3 or more years of previous inside or outside sales experience
– Familiarity with sales strategies and tactics either through formal classes or on the job training
– Ability to remain proactive in generating sales leads and closing business
– Capable of handling difficult customer personalities and resolving conflicts
– Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Teams
– Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
